The Dark Horse Mustang that you were interested in is a vehicle that is not only exceptionally rare, but is being offered at a premium price by every dealership that is fortunate enough to have one in stock. It’s now October and I’m still getting information from the credit companies because they ran my credit through many banks even after I told them that I wasn’t coming back because of their bait and switch tactics. I chose to stay at Honda where they treated me well. I get a call from the sales lady at Celebrity and she says that it was all a mistake and that they would now honor the deal we originally agreed upon and to come back to Celebrity Ford. I was at the Honda dealer next door and they were spot on with the down payment and monthly investment. I immediately walked out and told the sales lady that her sales manager killed the deal and left. So after meeting with the Sales manager the deal changed meaning that he showed me different dollar amount for down payment and monthly investment and nowhere near what was agreed upon. I gave the sales person my credentials so as to run my credit history. She let me test drive the car and worked out the numbers for purchase. I was greeted by a sales woman who was nice and settled on a Honda Accord. I went to Celebrity Ford in Toms River, NJ in September. Again, Jonathan and our dealer are committed to continuous improvement, and we will improve our guests' experiences as a result. While we certainly understand where we needed to be better, there was no intent to deceive on any level. We also do not as a policy schedule appointments for vehicles that we are aware are not on the property, nor would any employee share such information, as not only would such a practice be wholly unethical, no business would ever survive using such deceitful tactics. We are sorry that despite Crystal's efforts in sharing information on both all other units in stock and what would be incoming, we could not find an acceptable alternative. The vehicle in question was not sold four days prior, but confirmation still certainly should have happened. On behalf of Jonathan, who is an excellent sales associate, he certainly should have re-confirmed the scheduled appointment, as he had mentioned there were other appointments that had not been kept.
